ALLTECH FEI WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES – One Time Event

While we will not be actively participating in the games, we anticipate that September and October will be extremely busier than normal. In addition the Kentucky Horse Park Campground will close for the games on Sept. 5, 2010 and will not reopen until late October. This closure will also directly increase business for our campground. Please plan your reservations for September and October with this in mind and make them as early as possible.

ST. PATRICK’S WEEKEND – Annual Event
Everyone is Irish this weekend. We will have scheduled times for a shamrock hunt, camper decoration contest, treasure hunt, NCAA basketball on the big screen satellite TV, free putt-putt, free historic tours, and lots more. EGG-CITING EASTER FEST – Annual Event
Join us for our Easter celebration with lots of activities. We will have scheduled times for bingo, Easter crafts, an Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny, free putt-putt and tours, camper decoration contest, and a whole lot more. ICE PACK CAR CLUB SPRING MINI-NATIONALS – Annual Event

CAMPER APPRECIATION WEEKEND – Annual Event
Pay for Friday night and get Saturday night FREE. We have so much fun that we start the weekend early on Thursday night with bingo, and then the fun continues with scheduled times for bonfires, free putt-putt and tours, hikes, entertainment, and lots more activities. KENTUCKY DERBY WEEKEND – Annual Event
Enjoy a Derby party with games and activities all weekend. Join us for a traditional burgoo dinner on Friday evening and a Derby breakfast on Saturday morning. We will watch the race on the big screen satellite TV and if you pick the winning horse in our Kentucky Derby Contest, you might be the weekend’s big winner. SPRING CAMPER’S YARD SALE – Annual Event
Clean out your closets and let your junk or arts and crafts become a fellow camper’s treasure. Set up and sell right on your campsite. A $10.00 set up fee will be charged in addition to the regular camping fee. This event is for registered campers only to sell.

NASCAR FAN WEEKEND – Annual Event
Join us for our sixth annual weekend devoted to NASCAR. We will have scheduled times for a camper decoration contest, favorite driver contest, crafts, and lots more race themed activities. We will show the Indy 500, the Busch Race, and the Coca Cola 600 on the big screen satellite TV. BLOOD DRIVE – Annual Event
The Kentucky Blood Center will be conducting a blood drive in the Recreation Hall of the campground from 10:00am – 5:00pm. All donors will receive a tee shirt, a gift, and be entered into the door prize drawings for gift certificates from the park and area businesses. Open to the public. Give blood and save a life!
